There is still a new version to be released (5.1.1) which solves few bugs around like skinning. It seems also after this new version, Windows 8 crashing issues disappear (after upgrading to W8.1).

I will create a post with a compilation of those must-solve bugs I found and inviting anyone to add their bugs as well.

The Quest3D project has been discontinued. There won't be any future versions, no matter if DX11 will be supported in Lumion or not.

To say, that it's worst news ever, means to say nothing.
It was several times discussed before, but it's really sad to hear it and to see how the good software is dying in front of us.

Quest3d - challenge yourself!

Hopefully there would be also a full source license to compensate those throw in the road.

It depends on what you use it for. Since Q3d can be expanded to anything, only real limitation is DX9 (which having source would be possible to implement)

Well I'm not a hardcore C++ programer, so even if they will release  the open source version it will not be any good for me.
