We are proud to announce Quest3D 5.0!

In the coming week everyone entitled to a Quest3D licence can expect a brand new license key and download instructions in their email inbox!

Beta licenses
The beta and release candidate keys will stop working on March 10 2011. If you already are entitled to an upgrade you will receive email automatically and other users should make sure they obtain a valid key in time.

Biggest update ever
We're really glad with this release because it has taken around 2 years to develop it but it's by far the biggest upgrade for Quest3D ever. Keep watching our website as more promotion material and information will appear in the coming week.

Congratulations!

Actually that is only 50% good news. The other 50% comes with full support of Quest3D 5 after the release; bugfixes, improvements, dialogue with the end users, etc. Let's not make Quest3D 5 suffer like Quest3D 4 did. Shake a leg!

Ofcourse this is not the last release. Updates will appear as we find improvements or bugs. We also want to provide the option for a speedtree pack and we have some improvements planned for VR applications.

Great! Will there be documentation included this time?

Documentation is already available online with the exception of some of the commands because they have the commands documented in the dialog itself.

On top of that we included templates for some essential difficult operations like skinning, bump maps, multiple render targets and instancing.
