Author Topic: Multitouch Plug-In UserInputTouch for Win7 available  (Read 8609 times)
February 19, 2011, 07:09:29 pm
This plug-in channel extends the Quest3D user interface to support multitouch activities in Win 7. This allows to follow many individual independent touches or touch movements. The complementary plug-in UserInputGesture detects more kinds of single gestures.

In brief, UserInputTouch allows to follow a dynamic set of move gestures or clicks, and UserInputGesture is for detecting a set of different gestures.

You are invited to test the trial version. Be sure to watch the Video "Enjoy Multi Touch with Quest3D" to be found on my homepage or on vimeo.com/20070078

Thank you, Heinrich, for providing your work here!

Unfortunately the Channel does nothing with my Medion Akoya X54000 Multi-Touchscreen  Cry
(The screen works perfectly on Win7.)

Edit: Tested with 4.3 until now, but it works fine with 4.3.2!

Hi Heinrich,

Great plugin.  Just wondering if there is any chance in the near future of making this plugin work at the same time as the gesture plugin.

Combining UserInputTouch and UserInputGesture would lead to a more complex setup and mix of children. I tried to keep it simple.

Updated trial material is available [here]. Future versions of this channel deliver each original touch related ID. This will make it easier to keep track on individual fingers.
