Hi all

How to change the wave direction on the ocean water (Water 3.6.4 Channel)?

There is a command property in Quest3D which allows you to create an ocean texture: both the bump- as the displacement-map.

One of the children-links of this channel is the wind-direction, which you can use to change the direction of the waves.

For additional information I advice you to check out the "Water Rendering 3.6.4"-example in the example directory of Quest3D: $QuestDir\Examples\Power.

Thanx Patrick, but wind-direction doesn't change the wave diretion

Then the wind influcence amount is off or the wind force.

Aha.. I figured it out. You are talking about the BIG wave. The sinus waves I mean. This is not possible. However... it's a nice suggestion for 4.0 so maybe I can quickly add it before the release.

maybe I can quickly add it before the release.

This, of course, implies that the release will be soon...   Cheesy
