Hi everyone,
I have seen the Halflife 2 Videos a few weeks ago, I think they look really great:
I think all the effects they show are possible with Q3D too, the refractive/reflective water, the scene with the camera, the morphing g-man face, and the bumpmaping!
So: Could anyone do this scene in Quest?
It would show how powerfull and up-to-date Quest 3D is and it could be a new challenge for some of you Wink . When I saw the Video I never thought that that is possible with quest (because they use Havok's new Source engine), but then version 2 came and suddenly I found all these great effects posted in the forum:-) . I have some other projects at the moment and don't want to start an other as big project yet. Here's the link of the map for hl 1, maybe someone can extract it as a 3ds or so:

PS: When I created this forumpost I pressed enter to insert a blank row and suddenly the forumpost was created: Clown
now I cant erease it Red face

Our project, and the basis for my senior thesis, deals with complex realtime character(s) and as realistic a rendering/visual result as we can muster out of the Quest engine.  Hopefully within 4 months you can start to see some of the progress, right now were in slow-motion mode and it's a big undertaking but I'm hoping things will pick up and well have something to show you real soon.

Thought I'd have a go at this using Caustics Generator. Doesn't run perfectly on my machine at 1024*768 for some reason, I don't think it is very demanding. Perhaps someone has a better method?Huh?Huh???

Try out our free learn danish   and latest comptia   training courses to get high flyin success in final  and   exams, mcts    oneworlditaliano    is also very useful tool.
